Who We Are
A calm, collaborative studio shaping thoughtful, uplifting interiors.
Every home holds its own character, and thoughtful design can bring clarity, comfort and a sense of ease to everyday living. Many of our clients arrive with ideas, inspiration or a sense of what isn’t working — they simply want direction and a trusted pair of hands to guide the process.
Kennedy Pugh Interiors brings together interior design and in‑house craftsmanship to create spaces that feel personal, cohesive and beautifully resolved. Working collaboratively as a designer–maker duo, we combine creative vision with technical understanding, ensuring every detail — from layout to materials to bespoke joinery — is considered with care.
Our approach is warm, steady and quietly structured. We take time to understand how you live, what you’re drawn to, and how your home needs to function day‑to‑day. From there, we shape a design that feels intuitive, uplifting and tailored to you.
Our Approach
We believe good design is both creative and practical — a balance of atmosphere, flow and thoughtful detail. Our process is grounded in:
Listening closely to how you use your home and what you want it to feel like
Clarity and structure, so each stage feels calm and well‑organised
A collaborative mindset, blending design direction with hands‑on craftsmanship
A holistic view, ensuring layouts, materials, lighting and joinery work together seamlessly
Careful refinement, so the final space feels effortless, personal and beautifully resolved
Whether you’re seeking early clarity, a cohesive design plan or full support from concept to installation, we guide the process with creativity, precision and a reassuring sense of ease.
About Us
Kennedy Pugh Interiors is led by Amy Kennedy and Matt Pugh — a designer–maker partnership that brings together interior design expertise and in‑house craftsmanship. Working collaboratively, we shape thoughtful, cohesive interiors grounded in creativity, technical understanding and a calm, considered approach.

Amy brings an art‑led sensibility to the studio, shaped by her background in textiles, sculpture and contemporary art. Before moving into interiors, she spent over a decade curating, directing and sourcing artworks — an experience that informs her instinct for composition, materiality and the emotional quality of a space.
Her design approach blends thoughtful spatial planning with a love of colour, texture and crafted objects. She has a particular talent for creating interiors that feel layered, characterful and quietly harmonious. Amy trained at the KLC School of Design, graduating with distinction, and has since worked across residential projects of varying scales.
Alongside her professional work, Amy and Matt have renovated several homes together, giving her a deep understanding of the practicalities, decisions and fine details involved in building and refurbishment projects.

Matt is a designer and craftsman with over two decades of experience creating bespoke furniture, joinery, lighting and accessories, as well as one‑of‑a‑kind pieces. His career spans architectural modelmaking, theatre set building, contemporary product design and large‑scale commissions for both residential and commercial interiors.
Known for his refined simplicity and meticulous attention to detail, Matt brings a maker’s eye to every project — understanding how materials behave, how pieces are built, and how thoughtful joinery can elevate the feel and function of a room. His work has been exhibited internationally and stocked by leading design retailers.
Today, Matt focuses on commission‑based work from the studio’s workshop near Bath, collaborating closely with Amy to design and craft bespoke elements that integrate seamlessly within each project.
